Welcome to Smithtown West DECA's new website! Compromised of a group of intelligent high school students, Smithtown West DECA one of the many chapters nationwide apart of the international association. Studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business each student within the club should attempt achieve placing in National Competitions in Anaheim, CA in 2009.
Students can achieve a lot in Smithtown West's DECA chapter, and thanks to it's new innovative website, we've made sure your experience here will be something to look forward to. Throughout the 2008–2009 year, look for updates and resources to get the most out of our many activities. Each and every event, as well as each competition, will be posted on this website for you to reference, along with many others.
Smithtown West DECA welcomes new members!
All members of DECA welcome the new group of freshmen to both high school and the chapter. There is much to do, lots to see, and plenty of fun to have! Some of the many things each and every new DECA member should remember to do is:
- Attend each DECA meeting every Tuesday.
- Be aware of the many DECA events which go on throughout the year, and remember to participate in them.
- Be prepared for December -- remember to study for your test with your advisors.
- If you're participating in a manual, be sure to have a basic outline of it to be approved by the advisors.
- Always have fun and keep enjoying yourself!
